Shannon Wallace, Jr,
NASM-CPT, CKT, CNT, YFS, Certified Under Armour Combine 360 Trainer
Originally from Newport News, VA where there were always a plethora of athletes, Shannon Wallace Jr. grew up plagued with injuries and was not able to reach his optimal goals as an athlete during that time. As a child, he was sick quite a bit until he started playing different sports. He went on to play Div II college football and was always involved in martial arts. After several years in the sales and finance area with Fortune 500 companies, his passion for fitness and athleticism brought him back to unfinished business. He began to lead athletes and the general population to have optimal strength and conditioning eventually creating 368 Athletics, Inc. 360 degrees represents a full circle with 8 being the number of focus areas in fitness and conditioning to achieve optimal success.swallace@368athletics.com
Tara Garst, ACSM-CPT
Performance Coach
Tara Garst graduated from Frostburg State University '09 with a bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sports Science. She is a member of the American College and Sports Medicine (ACSM) organization and is currently a certified personal trainer through ACSM. Tara grew up in the Frederick county area on her family farm. There her parents raised her to work hard and value the simple things in life. Respect and be kind to those around you, strive to do what you love, and be the best you can. Now she is working for 368 Athletics hoping to make a difference in people's lives. Tara played many sports growing up but her passion was and still is for soccer. In Tara's early teen years she became interested in core training but it only remained a hobby for many years. Throughout high school and her first year in college Tara was going to major in architecture or engineering, but struggled with the fact that while she loved to design it just did not feel like that was her calling. One day at school she came to realize that her major was more of a hobby and that her hobby in training - working out and playing sports - was really what she wanted to do with her life. Being able to train people inside - mentally - and out - physically - to help them achieve their goals whether it’s to be healthier or to dominant in a particular sport is Tara's passion and goal. You can never get anywhere without the help of others, we are a team in every aspect of life.
